Beginning Band

The Beginning Band at La Colina is intended primarily for 7th graders that have one year or less experience on their instrument, and serves as an introduction to band music.  Instruments offered are Woodwind (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone), Brass (Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba), and Percussion (Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Mallets, Timpani). 

Beginning Guitar students should try to sign up for private guitar lessons to prepare to audition for our Jazz Band. 

Beginning Band is a fun way to learn a new instrument, and all students are welcome to join!  Students should never be shy about starting in Beginning Band because we are all starting at the same level.
